"We started with learning traditional stained glass and are branching out into various media to create unique pieces of art incorporating wood and wood as furniture and furniture as art. For example, there is a stained glass pileated woodpecker mounted on a piece of wood that a pileated woodpecker started to make a hole in. It all started with our lessons from Naubinway artist Genevieve Cousineau.
Genny has been an artist for most of her 90+ years and has taught in the public schools as well as from her studio in Naubinway. She has taught countless students the art of stained glass, oil colors, water colors and acrylics. A group of her students have come together to create pieces for charitable events as well as for our friends and families. These artists have become known as the “Naubinway Stained Glass Angels” and include Jeff and Jomay Bomber, Laura Flatt, Katy Neeley and Terri Stover. We have made numerous pieces for charity including for Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital, the Seney National Wildlife Refuge, the Erickson Center and churches.
Join us in our journey as we continue to grow as artists, explore new variations and share these beautiful pieces with you.- Jeff Bomber
