The Art on the Lake Music and Art Festival is held on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend from 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. in the Erickson Center Park. Family fun includes food, live music, art vendors, silent auction, children's art project and children's parade.

This new Erickson Center for the Arts' event is for seasoned and aspiring writers will have the opportunity to learn about the art of writing. It features an all inclusive weekend workshop for writers of any style at Chamberlin's Ole Forest Inn.

Enjoy live musical entertainment weekly in the park throughout the summer.
Photography Contest-August
The Erickson Center for the Arts Second Annual Photo Contest is sponsored by Jim Buckingham Photography, Ray and Della Juliano, and Painter Pest Control Services/Lyle Painter. Critic's Choice Awards are voted on using a point system. The People's Choice Award is voted on during Art on the Lake by festival participants. Rules are available by clicking "2nd Annual Photography Contest" on the Calendar of Events (on August 1st) and then clicking "Event attachment."
Portage Players Productions -various
The Portage Players are the Erickson Center for the Arts’ theatrical group. Both children and adults perform in productions including Yooper Home Companion, Follywood and an annual summer play. The Portage Players also has a stage crew which creates the sets and the props and run the technical aspects of lighting and sound for all the performances.

Volunteers are recognized for their unending support for the Erickson Center for the Arts during these two events.
Wine & Cheese Tasting Fundraiser & Auction-July This annual event is a community favorite featuring a large variety of red wines, white wines, and special wines and cheeses to choose from. You are sure to find many new and exciting flavors to enjoy. Both silent and live auctions round out the day’s events.
Writer’s Read-November
